Tips for Creating Great Communications

  1. Know your audience: who is this piece going to?
  2. Hire a copywriter: they can make your message more effective
  3. Include a call to action: ask your reader to call for more info, visit your website, etc.
  4. Can they find you? Make your contact info and website URL easy to find
  5. Use only high-quality images: no JPGs pulled from the web!
  6. Proofread! Check everything carefully before going to print
  7. Know the USPS requirements for size, weight, proportion, etc.
  8. Think green: choose recycled and/or FSC-certified papers
  9. Talk to your printer: they can offer tips for reducing costs
